How do I make pigtail buns in my hair?

My hair is a lil bit longer than sholder length. I'm not looking for the princess leia buns!! I'm trying to figure out how to make that hairstyle work with my hair. and IF anyone knows how to do it, please fill me in!! Thanks

First, what you need is a hair pick or even a sharpened pencil will be fine.
While lookng at yourself in the mirror, use the pick to make a straight line starting at the center of your forehead all the way to the back of the head. Dont stress if its not perfectly straight, messy is what make pigtail buns look cute and not princess leia!
Then gather one side of the hair and make a low ponytail behind your ear. Tie with an elastic. Repeat on the other side. Remember, MESSY IS GOOD. Then twirl each ponytail into a bun and secure with bobby pins or another elastic.
If you have bangs and you sweep em to the side, the hairstyle will look so cute!
